Job Title: Surgical Technologist
Location: Golden Springs Surgical Center – Cathedral City, CA
Reports To: Administrator
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Lifekind Health is looking to hire (3) per diem Surgical Technologist's. We have part-time and full-time hours available. Hours may vary based on surgical schedule. This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position.
Position Summary
Golden Springs Surgical Center is seeking a detail-oriented and team-driven Surgical Technologist to join our fast-paced ambulatory surgery center. The Surgical Technologist is responsible for preparing the operating room, arranging equipment, and assisting surgeons during outpatient surgical procedures to ensure optimal patient outcomes and adherence to sterile technique.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and maintain the operating room with sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist in positioning patients and draping them for surgical procedures.
• Hand instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures.
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgery to prevent retained surgical items.
• Monitor and maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical case.
• Assist in the cleaning and restocking of operating rooms post-procedure.
• Properly handle specimens and ensure accurate labeling and transport.
• Collaborate with surgeons, registered nurses, and other surgical team members to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Follow all infection control and safety procedures.
• Participate in quality assurance, performance improvement, and compliance programs.
Qualifications
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program required.
• Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) strongly preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an ambulatory surgery or hospital operating room setting is preferred.
• Strong understanding of aseptic technique and surgical procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and assist with patient positioning and equipment movement.
• Manual dexterity to handle instruments and operating equipment.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is high to moderate.

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
Work Schedule: Full-Time / Part-Time Typical hours: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Hours may vary based on surgical schedule)
