Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A licensed practical nurse is needed to provide specialized care to medically fragile K-12 students within a long-term substitute contract position in Palm Springs, CA. This role involves working across multiple school sites, delivering skilled nursing services to support student health and well-being throughout the school year.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and perform medical procedures including G-tube feedings and tracheostomy care
  • Assist with student transfers, diapering, and toileting as needed
  • Monitor and support the health needs of medically fragile students in classroom and school settings
  • Collaborate with educators and staff to ensure a safe and supportive environment
  • Adapt to working at various school locations as assignments require

Qualifications:

  • Current LPN/LVN license, preferably with previous experience in California schools
  • Active CPR certification required
  • Ability to provide care for students with complex medical needs such as G-tubes and trachs
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are highly preferred to effectively communicate with diverse student populations
  • Willingness to work across multiple locations within the district
  • Must be compliant with COVID-19 vaccination requirements
