Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time position is available for a skilled professional for the 2025-2026 school year, focusing on providing essential communication support to students in a K-12 setting located in Palm Desert, CA. This role involves working closely with a diverse student population, addressing various speech and language needs across elementary and high school levels.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- SLPA's with school experience will be considered
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong assessment and intervention skills
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience supervising clinical fellows is a plus
- Familiarity with multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS)
Location:
- Palm Desert, California
Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in students
- Develop and implement appropriate IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication goals
- Provide direct therapy services to a caseload of approximately 55 students
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a supportive learning environment
- Supervise and mentor clinical fellows, fostering their professional development
