EVVS is looking for a Registered Nurse to join the team at our state-of-the art outpatient surgery center.

DUTIES:

• Provides direct patient care
• Performs initial assessments, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care
• Verifies patient orders and reviews lab results and patient history
• Collaborates with patients, families, peers, and physicians
• Completes required documentation per organizational standards
• Prioritizes nursing interventions according to patient needs
• Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills
• Incorporates patient education and discharge planning to promote optimal outcomes
• Assists the team with patient preparation and draping
• Initiates time-out procedures, monitors the patient, and documents during the procedure
• Performs ongoing assessments, including observation, physical examination, and evaluation of the patient’s response to procedural interventions
• Must have knowledge of conscious sedation

EXPERIENCE:

• Registered nurse: 2 years (Preferred)
• Outpatient/Operating Room: 1 year (Preferred)
• EMR systems: 2 years (Preferred)
• Starting I.V.: 1 year (Required)
• License: RN (Required)
• Nursing Degree: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

CLINICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• ACLS (Required)
• BLS (Required)
• Current State Nursing License
• Completed license needed upon starting work
