- Perform safety checks on residents.
- Give bathing assistance.
- Give dressing assistance.
- Give feeding assistance.
- Assist in resident hygiene management.
- Offer medication assistance, if properly trained.
- Escort residents to/from meals, activities, and doctor's appointments with company provided transportation as needed.
- Clean rooms as necessary.
- Complete resident laundry as requested.
- Chart and document appropriate information.
- Assist with residents' dietary needs, including preparing meals if necessary.
- Ensure safety and health of all residents at all times.
- Complete Incident Reports as necessary.
- Report all health, safety and sanitation concerns to supervisor.
- Report known or suspected elder abuse as required and described in SOC 341A.
- Provides and leads resident activities.
- Communicate with residents.
- Assist in resident emergencies, including calling 911 when necessary.
- Participate in initial and ongoing training as required by DSS and H&S Codes.
- Trained in First Aid and, if required by the Facility, CPR trained as well.
- Training in Resident Rights as described in the LIC 613C-2 updated for 2016 laws, including but not limited to no retaliation in response to resident complaints.
- Other duties as directed by the Administrator or Licensee.
