Duties

• Provide exceptional patient service by greeting patients, answering inquiries, and addressing concerns in a professional manner.
• Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures by preparing necessary equipment and ensuring patient comfort.
• Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, administering injections, and conducting basic laboratory tests.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using electronic health record systems.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care instructions.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care effectively.
• Uphold strict adherence to medical terminology and protocols to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to various specialties including dermatology, internal medicine, and geriatrics.
• Previous experience in a clinic or healthcare setting is preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and service.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems is an asset.
• A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in healthcare.
