Phoenix Rising Recovery is currently hiring for a full time Substance Use Counselor for our Residential Treatment Center!

The Substance Use Counselor is responsible for motivating clients to engage and participate in all elements of the treatment program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, group facilitation, treatment planning, individual counseling, and identifying supports and resources for clients in their recovery process.

Qualifications:

• Must be certified as a Substance Use counselor by one of the approved organizations (CCR, Section 13035(0).
• Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselors are required to obtain 60 hours of continuing education hours, every two years to remain in compliance with the certifying organizations (CCR, Section 13035(t)).
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Knowledge/understanding in Twelve-Step Recovery Program
• Experience in running/leading therapy groups and individual counseling/case management.

Hiring Requirements:

1. Hiring is contingent upon completion of a Background Check, TB test, and clearance on a drug screen and pre-employment physical. Current First Aid and CPR certification or willing to obtain upon hire.
