As a Security Officer - Hospital Screening Driver in Rancho Mirage, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Healthcare Screener with Allied Universal, you will welcome patients, visitors, and staff while helping to maintain order at key entry points through screening, access control, and clear communication. You will stay visible, document security-related activity, and partner with clinical teams to support a respectful care environment. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Screen patients, visitors, vendors, and staff for authorized entry by following established access control processes, verifying credentials, and/or confirming visit purpose as required by site policy.
  • Monitor screening checkpoints and nearby areas for unusual activity and/or prohibited items, helping to deter unauthorized access and promptly reporting concerns per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts when appropriate and coordinating with site leadership and/or emergency services.
  • Document screening activity and incidents using required logs and reporting systems, and communicate relevant updates during shift turnovers to support continuity of operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • Hospital morgue experience is required.
  • Hospital restraining individuals experience is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
