DESERT ELITE EYE GROUP IS LOOKING FOR AN OPHTHALMIC TECNICIAN TO JOIN OUR TEAM.
We are seeking an energetic, friendly, responsible, and reliable Ophthalmic Technician who enjoys a challenging and busy environment within an Ophthalmology practice. You should be able to provide excellent customer service, be self-motivated, task-oriented, caring, professional, reliable, detailed, and able to multitask.
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
- Conduct patient work-ups, including history taking and documentation of the patient's chief complaint.
- Review of systems and all pertinent ocular findings.
- Perform testing, including VA measurements, topography, lensometry, auto-refraction, OCT, retinal photography, and Humphrey Visual Field testing.
- Must be computer literate and able to enter data into electronic medical records (EMRs).
- Proficiency in typing and working with computers.
- Cleaning instruments using standard sterile processes.
- Cleaning, stocking inventory, opening/closing exam rooms.
- Ability to multitask & work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage tasks involving a high level of detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Maintaining professionalism and courtesy at all times.
- Ability to work well in a strong team setting.
- Other administrative tasks as needed
Previous experience as an ophthalmic technician is preferred.
We are willing to train the right candidate!
Bilingual is a plus.
