About the Role:
The Night Security Guard and Operations Support attendant plays a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of personnel, property, and assets within various environments across the Company. This position involves vigilant monitoring of access points, ensuring that only authorized individuals enter secured areas, and responding promptly to any security breaches or emergencies. The Security Guard will utilize advanced wireless technology and radio communication to coordinate with team members and emergency services effectively. Additionally, the role requires proactive asset protection and control through regular patrols and surveillance, as well as adherence to fire safety protocols and environmental controls to prevent hazards. Ultimately, the Security Guard ensures a secure and safe environment that supports the operational continuity and well-being of all stakeholders and participates in the and inventory management and control process to ensure loss prevention.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid security guard license or certification as required by state regulations.
- Basic knowledge of access control procedures and fire safety standards.
- Ability to operate radio communication devices and wireless technology.
- Physical capability to perform repetitive motions and patrol duties for extended periods.
- Able to work overnight shift.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in security or law enforcement roles.
- Training in emergency response and first aid.
- Familiarity with environmental control systems and advanced fire alarm technologies.
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Experience with inventory, warehouse, or shipping and receiving.
- Knowledge of inventory control systems.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control access to facilities by verifying credentials and managing entry points to prevent unauthorized access.
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to detect and deter suspicious activities or security threats.
- Operate and maintain communication equipment such as radios to coordinate with security personnel and emergency responders.
- Respond promptly and effectively to fire alarms, environmental control alerts, and other emergency situations following established protocols.
- Document and report incidents, irregularities, and safety hazards accurately and timely to management.
Skills:
The required skills such as access control and asset protection are essential for daily tasks involving monitoring entry points and safeguarding property. Proficiency in wireless technology and radio communication enables seamless coordination with team members and rapid response to incidents.
