Position: Basketball Trainer
Location: La Quinta, CA
Type: Part-Time
Schedule: 2 days a week, one-hour clinics
- Mondays 2:50-3:50pm and Wednesdays 2:00-3:00pm
- Dec 9 - Feb 28 (10 weeks)
Compensation: $50 per class

Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and skilled Basketball Trainer to lead engaging and educational basketball clinics for elementary school students. As a Basketball Trainer at Mindful Roots, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives by teaching basketball fundamentals, promoting sportsmanship, and encouraging a love for the game.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver basketball training sessions that cater to varying skill levels and abilities.
- Instruct students on basketball techniques, rules, and strategies.
- Organize fun and interactive drills, games, and exercises to enhance students' basketball skills.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes teamwork, discipline, and personal growth.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their basketball skills.
- Collaborate with the Mindful Roots team to create a comprehensive and well-rounded sports curriculum.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a basketball coach or trainer, with a strong understanding of basketball fundamentals and coaching techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with and motivate young students.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a group of students effectively.
- Background check required.
