Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-semester contract position offers an opportunity for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide essential services across multiple schools in the Palm Desert, CA area. Candidates with expertise in healthcare, pediatrics, and school settings, including those currently completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), are encouraged to apply. This role requires dedication to supporting diverse student populations through comprehensive speech therapy services.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid California SLP license or California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) certification
  • Experience with pediatric and school-based speech-language therapy
  • Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates with appropriate credentials are welcome
  • Strong skills in conducting evaluations, developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and delivering both direct and indirect therapy services
  • Ability to manage caseloads across multiple school assignments and adjust to varying age groups and grade levels as determined closer to the school year

Location & Schedule:

  • Palm Desert, CA 92211 (serving multiple schools across the district)
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Contract duration for the entire 2025-2026 school year

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough speech and language assessments and evaluations
  • Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with student needs and educational goals
  • Implement direct therapy sessions and indirect support, collaborating with educational teams
  • Maintain detailed documentation for IEPs and progress monitoring
  • Adapt services to meet the developmental stages of students, with age groups to be confirmed prior to the start of the academic year

Please note that supervision services such as paraeducators, Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) are not provided by the district, requiring the SLP to work independently within their scope.
