Job Title: Phlebotomist
Job Description
Exhibit proficiency in blood collection by venipuncture and capillary technique from patients of all age groups, including pediatric blood collections and difficult draws in medical office buildings. Ensure compliance and safety protocols are followed and effectively communicate their importance to other employees. Provide orientation and training for patient service technicians.
Responsibilities
- Perform blood collection using venipuncture and capillary techniques.
- Handle pediatric blood collections and difficult draws with proficiency.
- Maintain comprehensive understanding of compliance and safety standards.
- Communicate the importance of compliance and safety to employees.
- Provide orientation and training for patient service technicians.
- Ensure all interactions with minors are supervised by a supervisor or RN.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in phlebotomy and lab assistant duties.
- Capability in venipuncture, including neonatal phlebotomy.
- Experience in specimen processing.
- Familiarity with Cerner lab system.
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician I (CPT I) license.
- Strong customer service skills.
- High School Diploma.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Must be computer savvy.
- Experience with laboratory systems such as Cerner.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Palm Desert, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
