4x10 work week M-Th
Primary Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot equipment electrical controls systems
- Understand PLC programming, wiring schematics, HMI programming, and input/output diagrams
- Provide training to Maintenance Mechanics
- Place requisitions for needed spare parts and tools
- Work with engineers to define and document requirements for electrical systems, new control systems and system upgrades.
- Construct test beds and trainers to test equipment and train Maintenance Mechanics
- Provide guidance, and assistance to peers and technicians.
- performed outher duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-year degree in relevant Engineering field or 5+ years working as a controls technician
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline highly desired. Associates degree in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology, industrial automation,
- Experience troubleshooting electrical controls systems and working on teams to support internal customers
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot AC/DC electrical equipment and infrastructure problems
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code, NFPA 70
- Ability to understand and troubleshoot Ladder Logic programming using RSLogix 500, and Studio 5000
- Experience with Industrial networks
- Knowledge of vision inspection systems and experience with various servo drive/controllers
