About the Position

Join us as a Clinical Research Registered Nurse for our outpatient; research practice located in an outpatient imaging center. The clinical research nurse will work closely with the clinical, research and operational teams to serve a diverse population of patients in an outpatient, research practice located in an outpatient imaging center. We workup patients, perform procedures under conscious sedation, and manage patient care and issues as they come up.

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will have critical care experience and ACLS certification
  • Ability to work in the MRI environment
  • Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times
  • A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Responsible and compassionate
  • Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Must communicate well (written and verbal)
  • BSN from accredited school of nursing
  • Valid nursing license
  • Experience administering conscious sedation medications in an outpatient setting under physician supervision.
  • Providing appropriate nursing monitoring/ documentation before, during and in recovery after outpatient focal therapy procedures.
  • Willingness to keep meticulous medication logs and maintain chain of custody of controlled substances used for conscious sedation.
  • Willingness to take post procedure clinical phone calls from patients after hours and on weekends for up to twelve patients per month .
  • Aid In preparation for, and actively participate in, twice a month Multispecialty Tumor Boards for Prostate Focal Therapy.
  • Work with the Focal Therapy Team to keep an adequate inventory of all related medical supplies, ordering supplies as needed
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
