About the Role:
As a Lifeguard Instructor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals in Riverside County. Your primary responsibility will be to train and certify new lifeguards, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to respond effectively in emergency situations. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing training programs that adhere to safety standards and best practices in aquatic environments. Additionally, you will conduct regular assessments to evaluate the lifeguards' skills and readiness, ensuring they maintain a high level of competency. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to creating a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons at the facilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current Lifeguard Instructor certification from a recognized organization.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Previous experience as a lifeguard or in a similar role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in teaching or training others in aquatic safety.
- Additional certifications in water safety or emergency response.
- Knowledge of local aquatic regulations and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct lifeguard training sessions and certification courses for new lifeguards.
- Develop and update training materials and programs in accordance with industry standards.
- Evaluate the performance of lifeguards through practical assessments and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and emergency response protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions, certifications, and participant progress.
