Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity exists for skilled candidate to support students in a K-12 educational setting. This role is crucial in facilitating communication and enhancing the learning experiences of deaf and hard-of-hearing students. The position is full-time at 30 hours per week, focused on providing onsite interpretation for two open roles.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Experience interpreting in educational settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and staff
- Knowledge of educational systems and practices regarding deaf and hard-of-hearing students
Location:

Responsibilities:
- Provide interpretation services for deaf or hard-of-hearing students across all subject areas
- Collaborate with teachers and educational staff to support student communication and learning
- Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development opportunities as required
- Maintain professional standards and stay updated on best practices in sign language interpreting
- Adapt interpretation techniques as needed to meet individual student needs
