You will support staff, patients, and visitors while documenting activity and reporting concerns. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Carry and maintain issued firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and all applicable laws and licensing requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating disruptive behavior and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local law enforcement as directed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and/or suspicious activity.
- Document patrols, incidents, and unusual observations in required reports and logs, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 2+ years of security experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
