Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time, contract position offers an excellent opportunity for a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide essential support to K-12 students within a diverse school district in the East Region of California. Serving communities from Joshua Tree to Twenty-nine Palms, this role involves delivering specialized therapy services designed to enhance student participation and academic success.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing occupational therapy evaluation, treatment, and consultation to students in grades K-12.
- Developing individualized treatment plans based on student needs and educational goals.
- Collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
- Managing a caseload throughout the East Region with a focus on district-wide support.
- Demonstrating leadership qualities and commitment towards long-term engagement with the school district.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapist license in the state of California.
- Experience working with K-12 populations in school-based therapy settings.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with an ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to student-centered care and educational success.
- Leadership skills and a desire for longevity within the role are highly valued.
Location:
- Based in Desert Hot Springs, CA, supporting schools across the East Region encompassing Joshua Tree to Twenty-nine Palms.
