Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers an opportunity to provide essential occupational therapy services within a K-12 educational setting in Palm Desert, CA. The role involves working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver therapeutic interventions aimed at supporting students' educational and developmental progress throughout the school year on a contract basis.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
- Valid state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Minimum of one year recent experience, preferably in a school or pediatric setting
- Successful pletion of a prehensive background check

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the OT in delivering tailored occupational therapy services in the school environment
- Implement therapeutic activities to aid students in meeting their educational and developmental goals
- Monitor student progress and collaborate with the OT to modify treatment plans as needed
- Engage with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure holistic support for each student
- Maintain accurate, pliant records in line with state and district regulations
- Participate in ongoing professional development to remain current with best practices
