Civil Estimator
Position Overview
There are 2 office locations that this position can report out of based on the chosen candidate's preference.
The Civil Estimator will be representing a self-performing GC and will prepare estimates for civil scope including: sitework, grading, parking lot paving, and flatwork. The role involves analyzing project specifications, conducting site evaluations, and preparing detailed bids to ensure competitive pricing and successful project execution. Most projects bid will be in the 20-30M range, and this position will work closely with a designated Landscape/Hardscape Estimator. Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze project plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Conduct site evaluations to assess project conditions and requirements.
- Prepare detailed bid proposals and present them to management and clients.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure alignment on project goals and budgets.
- Maintain a database of costs and pricing information for future reference and estimating purposes.
- Identify potential risks and mitigation strategies during the estimation process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proven experience as an Estimator on civil construction projects of similar size and scope.
- Proficiency with B2W, HCSS, SAGE or similar estimating software.
- Prior experience bidding community park projects is a PLUS.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a productive member of a collaborative team.
