Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
We are actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Inpatient Pharmacist for a night shift role in Palm Springs, California. This position is ideal for a pharmacist with a strong clinical background who thrives in a fast-paced hospital setting. The assignment offers a 13-week contract with the potential for permanent hire based on performance and departmental needs.

Schedule: 7-on/7-off, night shift (10-hour shifts)
Job Responsibilities:

Conduct clinical order verification to ensure safe and appropriate medication use
-
Monitor and adjust dosing regimens, including pharmacokinetic consultations (e.g., vanycin, aminoglycosides)

Provide drug information and clinical support to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff

Review and interpret prescriber orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and pleteness

Ensure proper documentation and pliance with regulatory standards

Supervise and collaborate with pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient operations

Support sterile pounding processes as needed

Participate in multidisciplinary rounds when appropriate
Required Qualifications:

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree

Active California Pharmacist License in good standing

Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient hospital experience (required)

Strong clinical knowledge base and fort with pharmacokinetics

Familiarity with Cerner (EMR) and Omnicell (automated dispensing cabinets)

Excellent munication and critical thinking skills

Ability to work independently during overnight hours
