Job Description

As a Security Officer - Residential Patrol Route in La Quinta, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional, you will patrol residential areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. You will be visible throughout the location, conduct routine patrols, and interact with residents and visitors to support a welcoming environment. This is a driving post, so you will also be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. Join a team that values integrity, teamwork, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential community and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity within the location.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, maintenance issues, or unusual observations according to Allied Universal procedures.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed during incidents or emergencies at the location.
• Assist residents and visitors with inquiries and provide directions or information as needed while maintaining a visible Allied Universal presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
