Phoenix Rising Recovery is a treatment facility in Palm Desert, California that's dedicated to helping clients rise above their past trauma and addictions into happier, healthier lives. We are currently looking for Med Techs and Resident Aids to join our team!
This position is responsible for providing direct service to clients, and for facilitating the smooth day-to-day operation of the program. This position collaborates as a member of a multidisciplinary team to deliver effective care and treatment.
AVAILABILITY, we are currently looking for:
- Swing shifts
- Overnight shifts
- Must be available weekends and holidays.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with intakes/discharges and orient new clients to the facility and program rules
- Conduct rounds, belonging/personal searches and safety checks routinely
- Manage program to ensure clients feels safe, supported and secure
- Maintain appropriate boundaries with clients
- Ensure clients attend all scheduled groups and therapy sessions
- Enforce and monitor client phone usage and visitation according to company policy
- Support clients in accessing community resources and teach independent living skills
- Assist clients with self-administration of prescribed medication and administer drug and alcohol screenings when necessary
- Provide effective crisis intervention and support team members when crisis occurs
- Transport and supervise clients at outside meetings and other appointments.
- Prepare and facilitate groups as assigned
- Ensure facility is clean, safe and in compliance with all accreditation and licensing requirements
- Provide information and conduct shift report(verbally and in the communication log) to staff during shift transition
- Complete all charts, program documentation, incident reports and other forms/reports as needed according to company policies
- Maintain a consistent and open channel of communication with the Program Director and Clinical Director
- Other specific program duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Currently registered with CCAPP/equivalent or willing to become registered upon hire required. (RADT, etc.)
- CNA, Medical Assistant , or experience as a Med Tech preferred.
- At least 18 years of age.
- High School graduate or possess a GED. Coursework in counseling, psychology, or social work a plus
- Knowledge of and belief in the principles of client centered treatment. Knowledge of medications and interventions.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team player. Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record and personal automobile insurance.

Pre-Employment Requirements
- Hiring is contingent upon completion of a Background Check, TB test, and clearance on a drug screen and pre-employment physical. Current First Aid and CPR certification or willing to obtain upon hire.
