Prepare work order for optical laboratory containing instructions for grinding and mounting lenses in frames. Verify exactness of finished lens spectacles. Adjust frame and lens position to fit client. May shape or reshape frames.

<li>Instruct clients in how to wear and care for eyeglasses and contact lenses.</li>
<li>Determine clients' current lens prescriptions, when necessary, using lensometers or lens analyzers and clients' eyeglasses.</li>
<li>Repair damaged frames.</li>
<li>Obtain a customer's previous record, or verify a prescription with the examining optometrist or ophthalmologist.</li>
<li>Arrange and maintain displays of optical merchandise.</li>
<li>Understands back-up protocol for processing patients in the event of system outages.</li>
<li>May work up patients for the Optometrist as needed.</li>
<li>Maintains an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with Company policies.</li>
<li>Keep commitments and keep direct supervisor informed of work progress, timetables, and issues.</li>
<li>Obtain and review medical history and/or records from patient.</li>
<li>Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal and other regulations (e.g., OSHA, WC, HIPAA, ADA, FEHA, DOL, HR policies and practices).</li>

Requirements:

REPORTS TO: Retail Store Manager
 
In your role as Assistant Store Manager, you will contribute to our success by assisting the Retail Store Manager with efficient and effective store management. This includes handling employment and personnel issues, merchandising, inventory control, strict financial management, and loss prevention.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain various reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis (paid-outs, compliance books, sales reports, phone card reports, and vendor logs) 
• Review and maintain inventory procedures 
• Vendor/grocery ordering and review of invoicing 
• Order, clean, and rotate merchandise 
• Check-in and meet with vendors 
• Price and stock merchandise and build displays 
• Learn and become proficient with daily data collection and input into the computer system 
• Count and account for all station monies, receipts, and inventory 
• Process invoices, mark-ups, mark-downs, and price changes 
• Assist in training and motivating store employees 
• Learn and train store employees on the importance of safe work practices including proper use of equipment, cleaning guidelines, and hazmat procedures 
• Assist with bank deposits, responding to maintenance needs, ensuring adequate coverage of shift schedules, and stick tanks, performing gas audits, changing pricing signs, and responding to customer complaints 
• Perform cashier and attendant duties when necessary 
• Maintain the building, equipment, and property of the store 
• Clean-up and maintenance of the store, restrooms, windows, car wash, stock room, cooler, equipment and gas pumps, and the outside area
• Assist with the orientation of each new hire covering the basics of the facility and explaining the training schedule 
• Enforce all corporate, local, state, and federal policies and procedures 
• Create and maintain employee schedules and assign daily job duties 
• Review timecards and employee schedules, and ensure all shifts are covered 
• When authorized, submit bi-weekly payroll information and check for accuracy (time cards, payroll changes, new hires, and terminations)
REQUIREMENTS
• 6-months experience in a supervisory and/or managerial role
• Experience in a retail setting
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others
• Proficiency with computers
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Collaborative work style, able to partner with all personnel to drive overall site performance.
• Driver's license and auto insurance
• Strong decision-making skills and proven ability to manage complex situations
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service

Essential Functions: - Develop and motivate a district to be a highly productive team through continual training, regular meetings, daily check-in, fostering a positive work environment, route rides, and building strong relationships with each RSR. - Ensure customer loyalty and outstanding customer service through customer visits, audits, new installs, problem solving, open communication and negotiating with customers. - Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed in their district, including safety and Service SOP. - Manage retention and growth by motivating their district to solicit new customers, up-sell/cross-sell/sample all lines of service or product and ensure a profitable product mix. This includes securing the facility, managing inventory to ensure sufficient supply for routes, overseeing deposits and paperwork, communicating effectively with the processing plant.
Additional Functions: - Work with and support other service personnel as required by supervision. Qualifications: - Have and maintain a valid Driver’s License, keep a driving record free of chargeable accidents, speeding, safety or other violations, and must be 21 years or older. - Demonstrate excellent skills in customer service and route sales. - Excellent verbal/written communication skills in English, comprehend and follow direction and good time management skills and team player. - Recognize colors, sizes and types of product and count, add and subtract accurately. Education: - High School graduation or similar experience. Qualified to hold a drivers license.
