Job DescriptionInland Respite, Inc. is a company dedicated to serving the developmentally disabled population. Inland Respite, Inc. currently has the opportunity for an Intake Coordinator to join our team in Palm Desert, CA.Position Scope:The Intake Coordinator role is a nonexempt position, under general direction of the OperationsSupervisor or their designee, will perform a variety of duties assigned to consumer verification, intakes, home visitations, record management, and other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties: 1. Receive, review, enter and verify all intakes. 2. Maintain ongoing communication (verbal and written) with service supervisors, case workers, consumers, the regional center, human resources, and other departments to effectively communicate and process changes in cases. 3. Ensure that all contracts are current, consumer evaluation packets are updated on an annual basis and other required documents (i.e. CDER, IPP, etc.) have been completed and signed by the appropriate parties. 4. Responsible for terminating consumers per established company practices; maintain active and updated consumer census for active and terminated consumers. 5. Ensure that all data pertaining to new and/or amended contracts, terminations, and inactive consumers have been accurately entered according to company policy, and within the allotted time. 6. Enter all IPP, CDER, annual reviews, increases/decreases in hours, share of cost letters, and emergency hours (consumer paperwork) into the appropriate respite system for all respite programs in a timely and accurate manner. 7. Enter prospective/new consumer data into the appropriate respite system for all respite programs; ensure that prospects have a successful and complete onboarding. 8. Verify all consumer authorizations; maintain consumer prospect list. 9. Responsible for conducting home visitations and conducting home evaluations. 10. Ensure all consumers are assigned care providers as requested; assess family needs and desires, set up interviews, and follow-up once care providers are selected. 11. Follow up with consumers/care providers on unreported respite hours, ensuring "Partial Service" or "No Service" is identified and reported appropriately. 12. Will accurately run, complete, and maintain the monthly required reporting. 13. Ability to function appropriately within all services-related company platforms. 14. Continuously strive to provide excellent customer service, interpersonal communication and serve as a source of accurate information.
 Secondary Duties: 1. Assist in other administrative areas of the organization when needed. 2. Assist with quarterly care provider meetings, as needed. 3. May periodically attend quarterly vendor meetings. 4. Attend all mandatory meetings in a timely manner.
 Education, Experience, and Skills Required: 1. High school diploma or equivalent (GED) plus an Associate's Degree in Social Workor related field of study (2 years of experience may be substituted for 1 year of post-secondary education) 2. Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English and Spanish (Bilingual Required). 3. Ability to type 30 wpm and do basic business arithmetic. 4. Knowledge and practical experience in developmental services. 5. High attention to detail, and strong affinity for customer service. 6. Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills. 7. Practical application of MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Teams for Windows required. 8. Practical application of HelloSign and/or DocuSign and other cloud-based e-signature solutions/digital platforms. 9. JOB SUMMARY
The Medical Assistant providers assistance with various healthcare services following established policies 
and protocols including but not limited to conducting routine lab studies, obtaining specimens, and 
assisting with administrative functions. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, 
maintaining medical records, billing, and coding for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include taking 
and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and 
administering medications as directed by the provider. This position may assist in examination and 
treatment of patients, and may provide translation services for patients.
IMPORTANT NOTE: As a Medical Assistant Floater, the incumbent is required to travel to different clinic 
locations, at times without advance notice. While St. John's may assign an MA Floater to a clinic/local 
area on a regular basis, a change in assignment can happen at any time. MA Floaters are required to 
respond to the new assignment within the timeframe outlined. No guarantees are made as to permanent 
placements at a clinic.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Interview patients, take vital signs (such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and
height) and record information;
- Properly utilize Electronic Health Records system, recording all required and/or relevant
information in the system;
- Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients;
- Drape patients with covering and positions instruments and equipment;
- Hand instruments and materials to medical provider as directed;
- Clean and sterilize instruments;
- Operate X rays, electrocardiograph (EKG), and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic
test or calls medical facility or department to schedule patients for tests;
- Give injections or treatments, and performs routine laboratory tests;
- Key data into computer to maintain office and patient records as necessary (Misys, LINK);
- Keep exam and treatment rooms clean, well-stocked;

- Provide translation for providers or arrange for translation services;

- Provide back-up to front desk responsibilities including receptionist duties, clerical duties such as
filling out forms, answering telephones or filing;
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) inputting prescriptions and patients chart;
- Practice Management System (PMS) Registration, Scheduling and Billing;
- File medical charts when needed;
- Maintain patient flow to reduce waiting time;
- Perform lab proficiency testing, run in-house lab tests, prepare outside lab specimens, check lab
orders and bills for accuracy;
- Participate in MA review of charts;
- Send out Medical Records when requested by other offices;
- Attend staff meetings;
- Inventory and order medical supplies and materials;
- Notify Clinic Manager when supplies need to be ordered or when vaccines or medications are
out;
- Serve as advocate for Indigent Program organizing forms for providers, instructing patients, 
helping patients complete forms and serving as liaison with drug companies;
- Comply with all personal medical requirements including but not limited to: annual physical, 
current vaccinations (MMR, Tdap, Influenza, Hepatitis B), and TB testing (skin test or chest x- 
ray);
- Attend meetings, trainings, and other work-related events as needed; and 
- Other duties may be assigned or may be modified as business needs dictate.

Position Summary
The Community Outreach Specialist is responsible for creating, planning, organizing community outreach programs/events with staff and volunteer for youth, families, seniors, and veterans in the Coachella Valley under the mission and ministry of The Salvation Army Cathedral City- Davis Center. The primary function of the Community Outreach Specialist is to develop, implement and expand community outreach programs for youth development through our After School Program as well as our adult education program through our seniors and veterans’ programs. Overall, the position involves creating various community outreach programs/events for youth, families, senior and veterans. 
Essential Functions
<ul>
<li>Coordinate and lead designated Community Outreach programs and activities as assigned by the Corps Officers.</li>
<li>Support and assist in recruitment and collaboration with existing programs (e.g. Afterschool Program and Veterans Programs and other new community outreach).</li>
<li>Work in conjunction with Corps Officers and ministry leaders in implementing strategies for outreach for Youth, Family, Seniors and Veterans.</li>
<li>Manage and Coordinate the After School program as outreach to the youth and families:</li>

Outreach to Youth and Family includes:

<li>Designing and developing a balanced program of enrichment activities in the following core program component areas: Literacy, Arts &amp; Craft, Homework, &amp; Tutorials, Recreation, Prevention and Basic Life Skills.</li>
<li>Training and supervising program staff and volunteers to implement program activities.</li>
<li>Delegate program activity responsibilities to staff and volunteers.</li>
<li>Develop and post a weekly schedule of each day’s activities, two months in advance. Create a calendar of events on a quarterly basis.</li>
<li>Promote and recruit students from the school in the community to maintain and expand program attendance.</li>
<li>Administer an annual program evaluation questionnaire to be completed by students, volunteers, parents, and community professionals. Periodically evaluate all program staff and volunteers.</li>
<li>Work scheduled hours, which may include special programming. For any variance in the schedule, prior approval from the supervisor must be obtained.</li>
<li>Provide regular communication with parents regarding program schedule, activity calendars, parent/student night, etc.</li>

<li>Ensure that students are provided with daily nutrition mid-afternoon snack. Represent The Salvation Army in various community collaborative meetings as appropriate.</li>

Minimum Qualifications
