OVERVIEW
EPIC de Cesar Chavez High School, part of the WASC accredited charter high school program of FIELD, is dedicated to providing students with the opportunity to earn a high school diploma to students over the age of 18 through a combination of in-class and distance education. Focus is on remediation, basic skill development, ESL, and credit recovery, alongside career technical education and college preparatory classes. Students benefit from flexible scheduling and a variety of educational pathways, all free of cost.
SUMMARY
An Academic Advisor advises students concerning their academic plans and progress, academic schedule, transcripts, career pathways and other academic activities and career goals, to assist the student in making decisions concerning personal and academic goals leading to graduation.
 ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES

<li>Advises students individually and/or with groups regarding academic core and/or career tech requirements, appropriate class selection, academic policies and procedures, and community resources.</li>
<li>Assists students with identification of long-term goals and career plans.</li>
<li>Assists with advising new and returning students to promote retention and graduation.</li>
<li>Assists students to meet requirements for graduation within appropriate periods of time while preparing them to meet future goals.</li>
<li>Uses data to work with the counselors to develop comprehensive guidance programs to meet student needs.</li>
<li>Collaborates with students, families, and educators to assist students with educational planning.</li>
<li>Prepares and delivers presentations in the classes, financial aid, per WIOA, ETR, and CCEC requirements.</li>
<li>Attends training and conferences to stay current with college enrollment processes and requirements and financial aid including, but not limited to FAFSA, Cal Grants, scholarships, community college fee waivers, enrollment residency requirements, and course requirements.</li>
<li>Works with the counseling manager to plan and conduct job and career information presentations, and/or fairs.</li>
<li>Works with the counseling manager to plan and conduct college information nights and financial aid sessions.</li>
<li>Works with the counseling manager to plan and conduct student field trips to colleges, and work/career related locations in coordination with the site teacher.</li>
<li>Coordinates with social service agencies to provide services to students.</li>
<li>Evaluates student class schedules and monitors those for accuracy per graduation plan and notifies teachers and/or the Records department when there are discrepancies.</li>
<li>Academic Advisors, under the guidance of the counseling manager , may assist with analyzing transcripts.</li>
<li>Works with the counseling manager to research mental health programs and services to address barriers.</li>
</ul>

<li>Monitors graduation status reports every grading period under the guidance of the counseling manager.</li>
<li>Consults and collaborates with counselors, teachers, administrators, and other educational/community resources regarding students with potential concerns or needs.</li>
<li>Follows referral process for internal services with counselor or outside services (i.e mental health, government assistance programs, higher education, etc.)</li>
</ul>

JOB QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS

The Resident Services Supervisor reports to the Community Manager and is responsible for the overall maintenance of the physical site and supervision of entire Resident Services team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul>
<li>Work closely with Community Manager to maintain integrity of property within established budget.</li>
<li>Over site of all maintenance projects.</li>
<li>Supervise and assist in all maintenance issues including, but not limited to, electrical repairs, plumbing repairs, carpentry work, custodial work and concrete, masonry, roofing fencing and signage when needed.</li>
<li>Perform touch-up painting, interior and exterior, as needed.</li>
<li>Perform carpentry work, such as fitting doors, freeing windows, replacing and building shelves, sanding and refinishing floors.</li>
<li>Train subordinate employees.</li>
<li>Monitor all incoming after-hour emergency calls and participate as needed.</li>
<li>Be responsible for inventory control and utilization of maintenance materials.</li>
<li>Keep storage/maintenance shop facilities and equipment clean and in orderly working condition.</li>
<li>Schedule subordinate maintenance personnel and work order requests, adhering to maintenance priorities.Ensure that work orders were completed within 24 hours, unless otherwise stipulated, and all needed follow-up or scheduling is accomplished in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Assist in scheduling and completing apartment inspections, including annual and turnover inspections.</li>
<li>Be responsible for the refurbishing of apartments prior to resident occupancy.</li>
<li>Keep accurate records regarding preventive maintenance, work orders, apartment refurbishing, annual inspections, inventories, purchase orders.</li>
<li>Perform scheduled maintenance on all equipment based on the manufacturers' recommendations and operating manuals.</li>
<li>Periodically inspect all units, buildings, and common areas, performing repairs and janitorial assistance as needed.</li>
<li>Have knowledge regarding water and gas meter shutoffs, all apartment and fixture shutoffs, sewer cleanouts and post map of the same.</li>
<li>Make sure storage areas and entrances are locked and adequate lighting in those areas is maintained as well as throughout common areas of property.</li>
<li>Have constant knowledge regarding contracts and vendors, their services and goods.</li>
<li>Negotiate with vendors to ensure best pricing on services and goods.</li>
<li>Responsible for Performance Reviews and disciplinary action process for subordinate employees.</li>
