Duties and Responsibilities

Typical assignments include:

Qualifications
You qualify for the GL-5 grade level if you possess one of the following:
Experience: One (1) year of general work experience that demonstrates the ability to take charge, make sound decisions, and maintain composure in stressful situations; to learn regulations, methods, and techniques through classroom training and/or on-the-job instruction; and the ability to gather concise information through questioning, observation, and examination of documents and records; OR
Education Substitution: A bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; OR
Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of general work experience AND successfully completed college education. This will be calculated using your resume and official or unofficial transcripts submitted with your application.
You qualify for the GL-7 grade level if you possess one of the following:
Experience: One year of specialized work experience that shows you have the skills necessary to:

<li>Analyze information rapidly and make prompt decisions where you will be expected to make arrests after the completion of required training and apply these skills in a law enforcement capacity such as criminal code enforcement, determining violations of laws, correctional or rehabilitation work involving criminal offenders, security, military, etc.</li>

The above experience will be applied in connection with the following: Make arrests and exercise sound judgment in the use of firearms; deal effectively with people in a courteous manner in connection with law enforcement matters; analyze information rapidly and make prompt decisions; or develop and maintain contact with a network of informants.
Education Substitution for the GL-7 grade level: A bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement, which is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average (i.e., GPA of 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0), or (3) honor society membership. Or will receive a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement. Or one full year of graduate-level education in a field of study related to law enforcement (e.g., criminal justice, homeland security, justice studies, law enforcement, courts and judicial systems, forensic technology, forensic psychology, or corrections and rehabilitation) from an accredited college or university;&nbsp;OR
A Combination of Experience and Education: This will be calculated using your resume and official or unofficial transcripts submitted with your application.

Working and Environmental Conditions
Works indoors and outdoors (for events, or to take trash to the dumpster.) Constant exposure to fumes from restaurant, food preparation
equipment, and cleaning solvents (ex. flour dust, cooking fumes and gases.) Constant fluctuation in temperature and conditions (ex. heat,
cold, humidity) due to movement from one cook area to another. Some noise and vibration exposure. If working an event, may work
outdoors in varying temperatures and in different environments such as golf courses and beaches. If assisting with a delivery, may help
carry food in catering bags to Guest’s cars or may be asked to make a delivery in own vehicle (only if approved to drive in advance with
signed Driver Policy on file.)
 
Physical Demands
Must have the ability to lift 55 lbs. Requires standing for long periods of time. Performs fine hand manipulation during food preparation.
Must be able to reach 5’6” minimum. Flexible hours, night and day, weekends and holidays. Ability to operate all kitchen-related tools and
equipment, such as the dishwasher, food drill, fryer, rice cooker, etc. Must be able to taste food (including, but not limited to, seafood,
chicken, and steak) to ensure the flavor profile and quality standards are met.

Position: 
Ensemble Therapy is a compassionate, multi-disciplinary clinic committed to providing exceptional care for all our patients. We work collaboratively across disciplines to offer neuro-affirming, patient-centered, and play-based therapy. We are seeking a BCBA to provide services in our Palm Desert, CA clinic. In this role, you will support individuals and families by delivering Applied Behavior Analysis services, conducting functional analyses and assessments, and developing effective skill acquisition and behavior reduction strategies. This position combines both in-home and in-clinic service delivery.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Complete all aspects of Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and develop behavior support plans (BSP) for clients from birth to 18 (dependent upon BCBA's scope of practice)</li>
<li>Conduct assessments (e.g. VB-MAPP, AFLS, Vineland and other supplemental assessments based on the need of the client).</li>
<li>Go into the homes to conduct FBAs, complete progress monitoring, and to provide direct supervision to RBTs/BTs.</li>
<li>Develop individualized treatment plans (e.g., goals, objectives, and interventions)</li>
<li>Provide direct case supervision to BTs  and monitor client progress towards goals.</li>
<li>Provide parent training based on the principles of ABA.</li>
<li>Provide training and supervision to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and BCBA candidates as outlined in the BCBA Supervision Contract</li>
<li>Ensure 85% fulfillment of authorized client hours for your assigned caseload</li>
<li>Minimize cancellations of scheduled sessions for your assigned caseload. Locate substitutes for therapist call out and/or provide direct therapy if a substitute BT  is not available (e.g. Only within the funding sources with a 2-tier model or in the case you are the sole supervisor for a client within a 3-tier model and a substitute BT is unavailable)</li>
<li>Open to feedback from the ABA Director and Clinical Director to support your growth within the company</li>
<li>Must be willing to complete FBAs both in-person and via telehealth (if clinically appropriate)</li>
</ul>
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
<ul>
<li>Minimum of 2 years of experience providing Applied Behavior Analysis treatment to children with Autism </li>
<li>Strong administrative skills with a working knowledge of common scheduling and billing practices in the ABA field</li>
<li>Current knowledge of treatment practices and a drive to continually learn about and explore new treatment practices that may benefit our clients</li>
<li>Must have a strong/ability desire to work with a wide array of patients (age, race, ethnicity, etc)</li>
<li>Able to be highly flexible and agile (we are living and working in a very dynamic time right now)</li>
<li>Able to be highly collaborative, team-oriented and customer service driven</li>
<li>Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel between homes in the Coachella Valley area.</li>
<li>Must have a valid California Driver's license in good standing.</li>

Licensing/Credential and/or Education Requirements:
