ACME House Company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Controller to lead and strengthen our accounting function. This person will be responsible for general ledger management, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
The ideal candidate has strong experience working with Sage Intacct, a proactive, self-starter mindset, and the drive to take ownership of the accounting operations. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate financial reporting, streamlining processes, and supporting ACMEs continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Oversight &amp; Reporting
<ul>
<li>Own the general ledger and ensure financial statements are accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant.</li>
<li>Oversee the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.</li>
<li>Leverage Sage Intacct to generate financial reports that provide key insights for decision-making.</li>
</ul>
Accounting Operations &amp; Reconciliations
<ul>
<li>Manage bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are up to date and errors are corrected promptly.</li>
<li>Identify and correct balance sheet errors and system discrepancies to maintain data integrity.</li>
<li>Collaborate with the tax team and external accountants to support tax compliance and filings.</li>
</ul>
Process Improvement &amp; Internal Controls
<ul>
<li>Implement best practices and internal controls to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency.</li>
<li>Optimize and document accounting workflows to improve team productivity.</li>
<li>Leverage Sage Intacct to automate and streamline financial processes.</li>
</ul>
Collaboration &amp; Leadership
<ul>
<li>Work closely with the CFO to align financial function with business strategy.</li>
<li>Support and guide the internal and external accounting teams</li>

Qualifications &amp; Skills
5+ years of accounting experience in a controller, accounting manager, or senior accountant role. Expertise in Sage Intacct, with hands-on experience managing the general ledger and month-end close process. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting best practices. Self-starter with a proactive approachable to take initiative, identify problems, and implement solutions. Meticulous attention to detail and ability to analyze financial data. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Experience working in hospitality, property management, or vacation rental industries is a plus.

Our world-renowned mineral water is the heart and soul of our resort.&nbsp; We have 40 guest accommodations, full-service spa, the largest mineral water pool in So Cal, a healthy café and…a natural hot spring oasis! &nbsp; &nbsp;This is a special property, and we are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Groundskeeper. The ideal candidate will have professional&nbsp; experience, have great attention to detail, be a self-starter and be reliable. Our building is over 50K square feet, and we have 5 acres of resort grounds so there is always something in need of attention. Duties: Maintains garden and lawns, including mowing, trimming, pruning, raking, and weeding. Must seek out problems before plants die! Maintain and repair irrigation systems.&nbsp; Weeding and mulching landscape beds. Trimming trees, hedges and shrubs. Apply fertilizers, maintain landscape design features, remove weeds/dead plant material and overseeing repairs as needed. Requirements and Skills: A minimum of 3 years' experience in a groundskeeping role. Must be able to safely operate maintenance equipment including tractors, mowers, leaf blowers, and aerators. Lift 50 pounds and handle the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, pulling, and climbing. Excellent organizational skills. Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Works well independently and with a team. Strong knowledge of pest management and basic lawn maintenance. Ability to work in a variety of outside conditions for long periods of time.
