In your role as Assistant Store Manager, you will be part of our success by assisting the Retail Store Manager with efficient and effective management of the store. This includes handling employment and personnel issues, merchandising, inventory control, strict financial management, and controlling loss prevention.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain various reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis (paid-outs, compliance books, sales reports, phone card reports, and vendor logs)

Position Summary:

Our Cashier is responsible for operating a cash register, processing customer sales by scanning items, collecting payment, processing returns, providing change, bagging purchases, cross-sell and introduce new products, addressing basic inquiries at the checkout counter, and ensuring accurate transactions while delivering friendly customer service. 
JOB DESCRIPTION:
<ul>
<li>Welcome customers entering or leaving the store, answer their questions, help them locate items, and provide recommendations. Provide a positive customer experience with friendly, courteous service.</li>
<li>Operating the point-of-sale (POS) system, processing payments, handling returns and managing customer transactions efficiently and accurately. Prove a receipt to every customer. </li>
<li>Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing cash counter, including restocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring product areas meet merchandising standards.</li>
<li>Follow all store procedures regarding coupons, gift cards, or the purchase of specific items, such as guns or ammo. </li>
<li>Collaborate with fellow team members to achieve sales targets, meet store and individual sales goals and contribute to a positive team environment. Cross-sell and introduce new products.</li>
<li>Understand and actively participate in the promotion of current sales, promotions, and programs to enhance the customer experience and drive sales</li>
<li>Answer customer inquiries regarding products, store policies, and services, providing knowledgeable and helpful responses to enhance satisfaction. </li>
<li>Creates customer orders.</li>
<li>Complete all necessary firearms paperwork in compliance with legal requirements.</li>
<li>Maintain a constant awareness of firearm safety.</li>
<li>Support loss prevention efforts by monitoring the sales floor, report suspicious activity, and follow security policies</li>
<li>Assist management with handle loading and unloading of trucks and stock merchandise deliveries. </li>
<li>May fill customer fishing reels using special machines and knot-tying techniques.</li>
<li>Assist in inventory management tasks, including receiving shipments, conducting stock counts, and reporting low stock or product discrepancies to management.</li>
<li>Attend training seminars, including those held off-site. </li>
<li>Perform additional duties as assigned. </li>

QUALIFICATIONS:
<ul>
<li>Legally eligible to work in a firearm environment. - DOJ Certificate of Eligibility Required</li>
<li>Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.</li>
<li>Work experience as a Retail Cashier preferred but not required.</li>
<li>Familiarity with cash register or other point-of-sale system (POS)</li>
<li>Prior retail or sales experience preferred but not required.</li>
<li>Good communication and interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Fluent in English</li>
<li>High School graduate or GED certificate</li>
<li>Basic PC knowledge and grasp instruction to new software programs</li>
</ul>
Nice-to- Have
 • Knowledge about Hunting, Fishing, or Shooting sports is preferred. 
 • Prior retail and cash handling preferred. 
 • Previous customer service experience preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
<ul>
<li>Responsible for loading/unloading trucks, lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance.</li>
<li>Must be able to stand, sit, bend, and lift throughout the course of a scheduled shift.</li>
<li>Must be able to use both hands when handling a firearm</li>
</ul>
HOURS
<ul>
<li>Hours- varied, varied-OT may be required.</li>
<li>Requests for time off may or may not be granted during black-out periods</li>
</ul>
