Job Title: Bartender

Summary: Sells and serves food and beverages in an efficient, professional manner according to restaurant standards by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Greets and serves customers in a professional, timely manner and cards anyone who appears to be under 30.*
  1. Prepares alcoholic, non-alcoholic and other beverages for customers and servers in accordance with standard recipes.*
  1. Prepares all condiments, store and pours and fruit to garnish drink orders.*
  1. Takes food orders, enters them into computer, prepares drink order for delivery and is consistently “check ready” i.e. check should be available at all times to the guest after EACH transaction.*
  1. Applies knowledge of the full menu, beverages and other restaurant information such as restaurant hours and types of payment.*
  1. Maintains a clean bar at all times wiping bar regularly, disposing of debris and bottles and washing glasses behind the bar as needed.*
  1. Checks and maintains stock of glassware, beverages and bar supplies and communicates shortages to appropriate person.*
  1. Assists with answering the telephone and taking messages to give to the proper personnel when time allows.*
  1. Records currency transactions accurately on computer and tenders proper change.*
  1. Processes charge transaction through charge transmittal machine and prints, reviews and submits a daily charge report to the Manager.*
  1. Completes all assigned opening and closing duties to prepare bar for efficient operation. Setting up the next teammate up for success. Teamwork makes the dreamwork.*
  1. Communicates health and/or safety concerns/violations immediately to management.*
  1. Having creative inclinations for new ideas and fun events for our locals and regular guests. Keep them coming back for more!
  1. Completes all assigned opening/closing side work to prepare dining room, bar, kitchen and service stations for efficient operation during meal periods.*
  1. Cleans and organizes assigned stations in bar prior to meal time rush. Continues bar upkeep. *
  1. Applies knowledge of full menu and other restaurant information such as restaurant hours, table numbers and payment options. *
  1. Must complete and pass seasonal menu test.
  1. Must have the ability to verbalize menu items in detail.
  1. Uses suggestive selling techniques to offer cocktails, food specials, menu items, daily desserts and other types of promotions.*
  1. Serves customers in a professional manner as per training guidelines.*
  1. Maintains service areas such as the bar and service stations clean and organized during entire shift.*
  1. Cross-serves and/or assists team members on an as-needed basis.*
  1. Follows cocktail recipes and makes drinks in a timely manner.*
  1. Receives customer payments, completes guest check transactions and tenders proper change to customers.*
  1. Turns in all cash and change transactions at the end of each shift.*
  1. Communicates health and/or safety concerns/violations immediately to management.*
  1. Re-stocks items in bar and storage areas as needed and alerts kitchen staff and manager of stock shortages.*
  1. Completes Closing Duties- Mops, Wipes tables/chairs down, Polish Glassware, Restock, Preps Garnish, Organize Storerooms/Reach-Ins/Walk-In Cooler, Check Keg Stock, Take out trash.

Qualifications:
