Summary:

This role entails supervising and executing all functions related to the efficient operation of a full-service restaurant, (excluding fast food or breakfast establishments). The following duties are included:

- Accommodating customer needs and effectively communicating these requirements to the staff.

- Assisting with inventory stocking as needed.

-Banquet Knowledge, Set up and execution

-Wine Knowledge

- Overseeing and monitoring portion control standards of beverages for the staff.

- Resolving customer problems or complaints promptly.

- Ensuring accurate counting of all charge and cash purchases as employees depart.

- Maintaining a program for sound employee relations and safety.

- Assigning cleaning tasks to staff when necessary.

- Upholding sanitation standards.

- Orienting new employees and providing initial on-the-job training.

- Overseeing training functions of the staff.

- Developing and maintaining an effective restaurant through training and motivation.

- Performing other duties as assigned.

- Handling employee problems promptly and efficiently.

- Scheduling and training employees in accordance with company policies.

- Efficiently handling cash-related issues.

- Courteously addressing customer problems.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Six to eight years of related experience and training.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of cash terminals and computers.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise employees in the Food and Beverage Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also, directly supervises non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
