Summary:
The Dishwasher supports the daily operations of the Country Club restaurant by maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for all kitchen equipment, dishes, utensils, and work areas. This role is essential to ensuring a safe, efficient, and high-quality dining experience for members and guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Perform dishwasher duties, including cleaning dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, while assisting with prep cook tasks and bussing tables as needed.
- Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment in accordance with safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including floors, walls, trash areas, and food preparation surfaces.
- Remove trash, recycling, and compost in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Assist with basic kitchen support tasks such as restocking supplies and organizing storage areas.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations at all times.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns to kitchen leadership promptly.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Prior dishwashing or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable, punctual, and reliable.
Minimum Education:
Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and other qualifications may be considered.
Language Skills:
The individual must have strong written communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with employees and clients at all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing.
Availability:
Varied working hours to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Subject to callback during emergency conditions (severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.)
Activity Summary
Ability to stand and work for extended periods.
Lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
Work in hot, humid, and fast-paced kitchen environments.
Work Environment:
Indoor kitchen environment with exposure to heat, water, cleaning chemicals, and commercial kitchen equipment.
