- Provides direction and oversight of the clinical operation of the system-wide nursing technology in the practice setting. Provides a leadership role with the responsibility for the design and implementation of leveraging technology to improve nursing work processes, decrease work intensity, and improve quality and safety. This role has administrative responsibility for planning, managing and evaluating the Clinical Informatics Program, including 24-hour responsibility for personnel and material resources.

- Required: Master's Degree in Nursing or related healthcare field; if Master's Degree is not in Nursing, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required

- Required: CA Registered Nurse

- Required: Five (5) years related progressive leadership experience
- Preferred: Informatics experience

- Provides Clinical Leadership and works collaboratively with Information Systems on all clinical applications.

- Provides ongoing support to the Informatics team and serves as a liaison with clinical staff and appropriate committees for the purposes of ensuring coordination in systems planning, development, and implementation of clinical applications.
- Implements processes for ongoing content management of best practice evidence-based workflows, orders sets, forms and other documentation tools that will meet minimum requirements. These should be designed to enhance measurement of and compliance with key clinical indicators, core measures, regulatory requirements, and metrics to determine outcomes and effectiveness of care and services provided.
- Develops department goals and objectives. Ensures policies and procedures are developed and updated as necessary.
- Determines qualifications, competence level of staff and standards of performance.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory compliance with clinical systems.
- Assures that adequate human resources are provided, retained and utilized in an efficient manner to maintain objectives of the organization.
