Job DescriptionAbout the Opportunity:

Join our client, a leader in the aviation maintenance and technical services industry, as an experienced Avionics Technician. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team at one of our client’s expanding locations in Bermuda Dunes, California. As a motivated, detail-oriented technician, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment focusing on maintaining a diverse fleet. Your role will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and efficiency of aircraft operations, allowing you to leverage your expertise and contribute significantly to the team’s success.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and install avionics systems independently and with precision.

  • Utilize test equipment, including IFR-4000, IFR-6000, and Air Data Test Sets, to evaluate system performance.

  • Work across avionics platforms such as Garmin, Bendix/King, Honeywell, and others.

  • Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals accurately.

  • Perform pitot/static, transponder, altitude reporting, and RVSM testing.

  • Maintain accurate, FAA-compliant maintenance documentation.

  • Uphold the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer service.

  • Collaborate effectively with maintenance, administrative, and service teams to achieve shared objectives.

Requirements:

  • Hold a valid driver’s license.

  • Meet eligibility requirements for an FAA Repairman Certificate under 14 CFR Part 65.

  • Have a minimum of three years of avionics experience in a Part 145 Repair Station environment.

  • Possess at least three years of hands-on experience with Garmin or comparable avionics systems.

  • Demonstrate proficiency with GPS/NAV/COM systems, audio panels, autopilots, EFIS/PFD/MFD displays, ELTs, instruments, gyros, radar, datalink/weather, traffic, and terrain systems.

  • Have experience using maintenance tracking software such as Corridor.

  • Exhibit strong computer skills and the physical ability to stand, kneel, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Currently hold or have previously held an FAA Repairman Certificate.

  • Extensive experience in avionics installation, troubleshooting, programming, and repair.

  • Familiarity with a wide range of avionics test equipment.

  • Own basic hand tools, with specialty and calibrated tools provided by the employer.

  • Detail-oriented with a quality-driven mindset and a positive, team-focused attitude.
