Pay Range: $60,000 – $75,000 annually
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly technical, mechanically skilled Route Manager with hands-on experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing commercial dishwashers and related ware washing equipment. This role is built for someone who is confident working independently in the field, understands mechanical and electrical systems, and takes pride in keeping equipment operating at peak performance.
As a Route Manager, you will be responsible for preventive maintenance, mechanical repairs, electrical troubleshooting, and system optimization on commercial dish machines, chemical dispensing systems, and water treatment components. You must be technically inclined with the ability to identify faults, replace components, and repair commercial dishwashers on-site with minimal supervision.This position combines technical service expertise with customer-facing responsibility and light sales, making it ideal for a mechanically minded professional who wants ownership of their route and long-term career growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Route ownership: Maintain a scheduled service route performing preventive maintenance and repairs on commercial dishwashers, chemical dispensers, and auxiliary warewashing equipment.
- Technical diagnostics: Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues including pumps, motors, solenoids, heaters, control boards, sensors, and plumbing connections.
- Commercial dishwasher repair: Diagnose, repair, and replace components on high- and low-temperature commercial dish machines to restore full functionality and compliance.
- System calibration: Set and adjust chemical concentrations, temperatures, and wash cycles to meet sanitation and safety standards.
- Preventive maintenance: Inspect equipment for wear, leaks, electrical faults, and performance issues to prevent breakdowns and downtime.
- Documentation & reporting: Accurately document service calls, parts usage, repairs completed, and follow-up needs.
- Customer education: Explain equipment operation, maintenance requirements, and best practices to kitchen staff and management.
- Technical upselling: Identify equipment upgrades, repairs, and chemical solutions that improve system performance and efficiency.
Technical Skills & Mindset
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with the proven ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix commercial dishwashers independently.
- Comfortable reading wiring diagrams, service manuals, and technical schematics.
- Ability to safely work with electrical components, pressurized water systems, and mechanical assemblies.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment.
- A problem-solver who approaches breakdowns methodically and efficiently.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in mechanical service, equipment repair, appliance repair, HVAC, or industrial maintenance (commercial warewashing experience strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair commercial dishwashers and mechanical systems in a field environment.
- Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing troubleshooting experience.
- Strong communication skills and customer-facing professionalism.
- Clean driver’s license and authorization to work in Florida.
- Bilingual English /Spanish
