On-call emergency response work is required as a result of various types of damage. Weekend work and after-hour work is required at times for City events, projects or emergencies. Grounds work experience is highly desirable.Training and Experience:Any combination of training and experience which demonstrates an ability to perform the duties of the position. A typical qualifying entrance background is experience performing varied street maintenance and construction, or closely related work. Street Maintenance Worker I: Graduation from high school or equivalent, and equivalent to 12 months (full-time equivalent) experience performing general maintenance, including at least six months (full-time equivalent) manual labor experience involving the use of hand tools and portable power tools. License or Other Requirements: Possession of an ability to maintain a valid Class "C" California driver's license.
